MORRISBURG – The next round of road closures related to local 401 overpass construction are coming this weekend.
The closures impacting County Road 31 and Highway 401 and the related interchanges will take place between 8 p.m., Friday, June 14 and 8 a.m. Saturday, June 15, and again from Saturday, June 15 at 8 p.m. until 8 a.m., Sunday, June 16.
These closures will allow for the demolition of the east half of the County Road 31 bridge.
High traffic volumes are expected locally as the detours are in effect.
Following the full closures and demolition, County Road 31 will be reduced to one lane northbound and one lane southbound during construction operations while the new two-lane bridge is being constructed adjacent to the existing bridge.
