SOUTH DUNDAS – Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Monday and Monday night as remnants of tropical depression Gordon are expected to reach Eastern Ontario.
The agency has forecast total rainfall amounts between 30 and 60 millimetres, with the higher amounts of rain to fall just north of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River valley.
Rain could be heavy at times. Environment Canada says that there is considerable uncertainty in the timing and the track of the weather system. Additional rainfall warnings may be issued for some areas as it approaches the region.
