Search warrant in Morrisburg leads to arrest

MORRISBURG – Officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with the community street crime unit, emergency response team and canine unit executed a search warrant August 16th on a property on Prospect Road in Morrisburg.

The police investigation indicated that a male suspect was in contravention of a firearms prohibition order, in possession of stolen property, and was in possession of an illegal drug.

South Dundas resident Bobby Donald Richardson, 37, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, possession of a controlled drug substance, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Richardson was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg October 9th.
