358-modified season race tightens

BROCKVILLE – Local racers Luke Whitteker and Kyle Dingwall continue to duke it out at the Brockville Speedway, with Dingwall finishing third and Whitteker fifth August 26th.

Both racers started behind the top five but worked their way through the pack. By the halfway mark, Dingwall had worked his way to fifth. A late race play had him move into third place but he could not catch up to eventual race winner Joe Banks. Whitteker made his way into the top-5 in the final lap of the race.

With one week left in the series, Whitteker leads the standings with 689 points; Bobby Herrington is in a close second with 662 points; while Dingwall sits in third place with 661 points.

Whitteker has a record this season at the track of two wins, 10 top-5 finish and 12 top-10 finishes in 13 starts. Dingwall has two wins, 9 top-5 finishes and 12 top-10 finishes in 13 starts for the season.
