Fill council chambers for special school report meeting

MORRISBURG – The Municipality of South Dundas is holding a special council meeting Thursday, January 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Representatives from Doyletech Corporation will be on hand to present their study’s findings: Economic Impact of Prospective School Closures in South Dundas.

South Dundas economic development officer Rob Hunter encourages everyone to attend.

“We would love to see council chambers full,” he said.

“This is a huge issue, and a really important report for people to see.”

Several South Dundas residents and concerned citizens have been meeting regularly since the news of potential closures broke.

The ARC group were consulted for Doyletech’s study.

The next (and final) community meeting is set for January 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Seaway District High School in Iroquois.
