It’s said that laughter is the best medicine. If that’s the case, there will be a good dose at The Gathering House in Chesterville on April 8.
A Comedy Night, featuring Paul Mussell, promises an evening of laughs for a great cause.
There will be a free will offering for the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund.
“Health is important to all of us,” notes Daniel Rudd, Lead Pastor and one of the event organizers. “Most of us will have the need of a medical facility at some time in our lives. It is great to have a local hospital that helps people dealing with physical challenges like cancer, as well as other diseases.”
In fact, headliner Paul Mussell has dealt with cancer and is grateful to share his story using his wonderful sense of humour. He gathers his material from his farm, his family and his church.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. at The Gathering House located at 2 Water Street, Chesterville.
The event is free and includes live music.
Café drinks will be for sale before and after the performance.
