Homeless Veterans Fund benefits from CAV Sicily

The Canadian Army Veterans (CAV), Sicily Motorcycle Unit ended another successful campaign Saturday, when they joined representatives of Seaway Legion Branch #48 in Morrisburg, to present a cheque for $8,630 to the Homeless Veterans Assistance Fund.

The donation, the fourth consecutive from the local CAV unit, will go to the Home Veterans Assistance program “Operation Leave the Streets” which provides financial assistance to Ontario Veterans to obtain housing, furniture, food and medical care during their time of need.

Much of this year’s donation was realized from the CAV Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Highway 43 Memorial Ride along with Coin Collections and various donations.
