Donor funded tribute to the Canadian Horse Unveiled
The committee who made possible this impressive tribute to Canada’s National Horse was thrilled to see it installed and unveiled at a special ceremony Friday, September 13 at Upper Canada Village. This bronze life-sized statue sculpted by artist Dave Sheridan of Brockville took inspiration from two of Upper Canada Village’s own Canadian Horses – Helen a 1998 black Canadian mare and Rocky a 2005 black Canadian gelding. Pictured above are committee members Susan Le Clair, Ron de Vries, Darlene Burns and Tim Cook with Hollee Kew, CEO and General Manager of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission. (The Leader/Comfort photo)
