IROQUOIS – A stretch of County Road 2 west of Iroquois is closed presently after a two vehicle accident occurred this afternoon (July 14).
Police say that at approximately 1:55 p.m., a passenger vehicle traveling east on County Road two between Marine Station Road and Binion Road, collided with a westbound SUV.
Constable Tylor Copeland with the SDG OPP said in a media release that the driver of the eastbound vehicle was flown by helicopter to hospital with serious life threatening injuries. The driver and three passengers of the SUV were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
County Road 2 is closed between Binion and Marine Station Road while officers with the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation unit and the detachment continue their investigation. Detours are in place for traffic.
