MORRISBURG – It has been busy at the Morrisburg beach – not so much because of the weather, but more because the Municipality of South Dundas and the Morrisburg Waterfront Committee are preparing for a party.

Over the last week, South Dundas works crews were busily putting down sod, making repairs to the beach building and adding a fresh coat of paint. This week dock installations and some new artwork was being added so everything will look its best for the big party June 22nd.

That’s when the community is invited to come out and see the beach and celebrate the newly completed improvements that have been made.

From 2-6 p.m. the Morrisburg Beach Party will take place featuring a free barbecue, free strawberry shortcake, free kids games and free musical entertainment.

The project, which began last fall, involved extending the length of the beach, clearing shoreline debris, expanding the parking lot and installing a new dock.
