MORRISBURG – The Prevost family lost their home, and much more, to fire last night.
South Dundas Fire and Emergency Services was on scene overnight at the former Charlie E. Robertson Farm located just north of Morrisburg on Roberston Road.
Home at the time of the fire, Randy, his wife Lori and son Josh were awakened by the fire alarm. Already fully involved, the family had to escape through a bedroom window.
A family member said they were not injured, but their two dogs died in the fire.
Everything was destroyed including the house and all of its contents. A nearby shed was also destroyed and there was significant damage both of their vehicles.
Randy is the president of the Morrisburg and District Lions Club.
