TransCanada donates truck to Seaway automotive program

IROQUOIS – TransCanada Corp. representatives Kevin Phifer and Sean McCann were on hand January 10th to present a 2010 Chevy Silverado pickup truck to the automotive technology program at Seaway District High School.

The truck was donated through the company’s BuildStrong program which invests in community programs and civic investments. “TransCanada likes to support the communities where we live and operate,” McCann said.

“This is now the newest vehicle in the shop,” said Robert Knapp, automotive technology teacher at the school. “We will be able to do a lot more up to date teaching in the program.” ­be able to do a lot more up to date teaching in the program.”

The donation is one of several throughout Eastern Ontario the company is making to schools.
