Atom B House Lions win first game of season

WINCHESTER – It was a team effort for the South Dundas Lions Atom B House team October 12th, as they defeated the North Dundas Demons to win their first match of the 2018-19 season 4-1.

Nick Carruthers started the scoring late in the first period, set up by Jordan Elliott and Joel Onstein, putting the Lions up 1-0.

Early in the second period, Chase Alger won the face off, and set up defenceman Noah Biemond for his first goal of the season, Lions led 2-0.

The Demons cut the Lions lead in half late in the second period on a goal by Cooper Smith. Less than a minute later, Chloe Casselman set up Elliott for a goal, top shelf, Lions take a 3-1 lead.

Early in the third period, Mathieu Bazinet made it 4-1 for the Lions off a pass from Alger. Lions win 4-1.

Up next, the Lions host the Demons in a rematch October 18th at the Morrisburg Arena.
