Jr. C Lions announce new coaches

MORRISBURG – The Morrisburg Junior C Lions announced a change to their coaching staff this week.

South Dundas resident Ken Turnbull takes over as head coach from Joe Hummel. Turnbull coached hockey for several seasons in Saskatchewan before moving to South Dundas last year. He was assistant coach of the South Dundas Lions Peewee B Rep team in the 2017-18 season, and currently sits on the South Dundas Minor Hockey Association executive.

Joining Turnbull is Lance Hodgson. Hodgson is a former junior hockey player and assisted with the South Dundas Lions major-midget team last season. He replaces Mike McManus and Andrew Wensink, who were assistant coaches last season.

“We would like to thank Joe, Mike, Andrew for their commitment and dedication they provided to our team over the last couple seasons,” said team general manager Kevin Casselman in a release.

The club begins their training camp August 27th in Cornwall at the civic complex.
