SOUTH DUNDAS – Voters in South Dundas will have a pair of races on their October 22nd ballot for school board trustee.
For the English-Public school trustee serving Dundas County, incumbent Jeremy Armer will face off against challenger Larry Berry. Armer was acclaimed in 2014, replacing long-standing trustee Greg Pietersma. This will be the first election for the Upper Canada District School Board trustee in Dundas County since 2003.
The English-Catholic school trustee race has incumbent trustee Karen McAllister running against Donna Neilsen. Voters in North and South Stormont, and North and South Dundas will choose this trustee to serve on the board for the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario.
There were also a pair of acclamations for trustees in the French-Catholic and French-Public boards.
Johnathan DeSerres will represent North and South Glengarry, Cornwall, South Stormont and South Glengarry with the Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien. Lise Benoit-Léger will once again represent Cornwall and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry at the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario.
