South Dundas, Chris Bazinet ‘part ways’

MORRISBURG – South Dundas director of public works Chris Bazinet and the municipality have parted ways.

“The Municipality of South Dundas have mutually parted ways with Chris Bazinet effective August 28, 2017,” said Shannon Geraghty, CAO-treasurer in email response to an inquiry from The Leader. “At this time there is no further comment.”

Bazinet was hired by the municipality on April 29, 2013 as the director of public works and replaced Hugh Garlough who had retired.

He was one of 25 applicants for the job and one of four interviewed in 2013.

Bazinet previously worked for the City of Timmins.

Efforts to contact Bazinet for comment by The Leader were not returned by press time.
