CORNWALL – Ontario Power Generation advised users of the St. Lawrence River that the gates at Iroquois Dam will be closed today and will remain closed until further notice.
In a release April 6th, the crown-corporation advised that boaters on the St. Lawrence River will need to use the Iroquois Lock for passage.
The gates at Iroquois Dam are being lowered to control increasing water levels on Lake St. Lawrence upstream of Cornwall. The notification from OPG was in accordance with regulations of the International St. Lawrence River Board of Control.
