ATV and tractor trailer collision fatal for 42 year old Bradley Tinkler

A head-on collision between an ATV and a tractor trailer claimed the life of South Dundas resident Bradley Tinkler. He was 42.

Police were called to the scene, April 6th at 5:41 p.m.

The collision took place on County Road 16 in North Dundas, just south of County Road 3.

Investigation indicated that the all-terrain vehicle, driven by Tinkler was southbound when, for reasons under investigation, he collided head-on with a northbound tractor-trailer unit, driven by a 39-year-old man from Ottawa. 

Tinkler was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the truck was not injured.

SD&G OPP officers, assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators continue the investigation. According to police, alcohol and speed are being considered as factors. Charges are not expected.

A section of County Road 16, between County Road 3 and Sandy Row Road, was closed to traffic and re-opened at approximately 1:30 a.m.
