Eva Elizabeth “Betty” Laura Daw (nee Cassell), peacefully slipped away on November 6, 2015, at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough, at the age of 89.

For weeks prior to her passing, Betty was surrounded by her devoted children to ensure that her journey to her next life was safe and gentle. 

She was the best Mom ever, loving her was so easy and helping to care for her was such a privilege.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved Carl and several siblings.

She was cherished mother to Rodney (Jo-Anne), Virginia Butler (Stephen), Elizabeth Daw-Ryder (Mark). She was the beloved grandmother of five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Betty will be sadly missed by her surviving siblings, John, Harry and Mitchell Cassell, her extended family and many friends. 

At her request, Betty has been cremated. A memorial service will be held in Morrisburg, Ontario at St. James Anglican Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 28th. 

Internment will follow in Mainsville Cemetery, Brouseville Road, Mainsville where Betty will be laid to rest beside Carl in a beautiful country setting.

The family is grateful to the wonderful doctors, nurses, PSW’s and PSR’s from the 4th floor Centenary Hospital Stroke Ward that provided encouragement, love and support to both Betty and her family over the past three months.
