John Ross offers $50,000 for Iroquois beach expansion

South Dundas council and staff are working to find a way to accept a generous offer of $50,000 towards the expansion of the Iroquois beach.

At the November 3, regular council meeting, South Dundas council publicly discussed a donation proposed by prominent local resident John Ross, founder of Iroquois-based Ross Video.

John Ross has already donated $12,000 for ditching work necessary for the expansion of the Iroquois Beach, and is willing to increase the donation to $50,000, if all of the necessary project approvals are in place by December 1, 2015.

The beach expansion project is the first major project in the advancement of the $4.8 million Iroquois Waterfront Revitalization project plan, and the project identified by the Iroquois waterfront committee as its top priority.
