Ron Wolfe

A lifetime resident of the area, Ron Wolfe passed away suddenly at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2015.  He was 64.

Ron was born in Cardinal, on December 21, 1950, to his parents Frederick and Anne Wolfe (nee Tyo).

Ron loved to spend time with his wife Marilyn and his brother-in-law Gordon going to yard sales and flea markets, eating at the chip wagon or taking a trip to St. Albert for curd.

He loved to listen to old time country music and he attended the Havelock Country Music Festival for many years with his sister Lillian and her husband Doug Peters.

Ron worked at both Brown’s Foundry and Pinkus Tire before taking a job driving truck at Tilbar Trucking. After health problems forced him to retire, he spent a great deal of time hunting and fishing.

Ron loved his family and friends unconditionally. Every labor day weekend his family and friends gathered at Ron and Marilyn’s for a reunion that often lasted all weekend and featured lots of story-telling, country music and good food.

Ron is survived by his wife Marilyn and his siblings Lillian Peters (Doug) of Williamsburg, Fred (Betty) of Mallorytown, Wayne (Sherry) of Cardinal and Garnet (Shelly) of Williamsburg.

He was predeceased by his daughter Patty Ann, his sisters Geraldine and Betty and his brother Tom. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Wednesday from  2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 17th at 11 a.m., with Rev. Valerie Vande Wiele officiating.  Interment followed at New Union Cemetery, Williamsburg.

Pallbearers were Wayne Wolfe, Jessie Wolfe, Wayne Keeler, Acil Markell, Josh Wolfe, Nate Murray and Kenny Murphy.

Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
