Marlene Casselman

A lifelong resident of the Morrisburg area, Marlene S.C. Casselman passed away peacefully at Woodland Villa, Long Sault on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was 76.  

Marlene was the beloved wife of the late Alton Casselman (2010), and cherished mother of Irene Cox (Wayne Crites) and Gail (Brian) Hamilton, both of Morrisburg.  

She was loving grandmother of Derek Douglas of Brockville, Dana (Chris) Breslin of Alberta, Shantel (Jeremy) Hamilton of Iroquois, Clinton (Jessica) Hamilton of Morrisburg, Elton (Crystal) Cox of Ottawa and Nathan Cox of Cornwall  and dear great-grandmother of Dillon, Logan, Jayda, Kamryn, Cassandra, Jared, Elijah, Haiden, Emily and Kendra.   She was special great-great-grandmother of Cole.  

Marlene was dear sister of James Prunner of Williamsburg and Verlene (Herbert) Froats of Ingleside.   She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  

She was predeceased by sisters Kay Higham, Norlene Sloan, Arlene Stata and brother Jay Prunner.  

A private visitation and funeral service was held at Parker Funeral Home, Morrisburg. Spring interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Riverside Heights.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Condolences may be made at www.parkerofmorrisburg.com
