MORRISBURG – Spring arrived late in the evening March 19th and as it was dark, no one saw it arrive in South Dundas.
The Leader asked for kids, age 13 and under, to help our readers with what spring looks like to them with our 2020 Spring Colouring Contest.
Entrants had to download the entry form online from The Leader website, and only enter by a parent or guardian taking a photo of the completed artwork and emailing it to The Leader. To encourage safe physical-distancing, only email entries were allowed.
Best overall, as voted by the newsroom at The Leader, won their choice of an Amazon, Google Play, or Apple gift card code, to be emailed to the winner.
Out of the 25 entries received across four age categories, Chloe Casselman (age 12) from Iroquois was selected best entry overall for her mixed-media artwork.
Madison Smyth was chosen best in the Junior Grade level; Emmitt Cooper-Kerkhof for the Primary Grade level; and Deacon VanMoorsel for the Pre-School level.
Thank you to everyone who entered. Below is a gallery of some of the entries received from the contest.
