Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Sunday, September 1, 2019, Aart Jansen of Iroquois, age 82. Loving husband of Maria “Miep” Jansen (nee van Nieuwenhoven). Loving father of Margaret Johnston (Rick) of Mariatown, Harold (Joanne) of Williamsburg, Eric (Shannon) of Iroquois and Grace Lavelle (Jason) of Hamilton. Dear brother of Maatje Van’t Foort of Chesterville and Evert Jansen of Holland. Aart will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Joseph (Carolyn), Amy, Karina, David, Rikki, Joel, Derrik, Ruby, Reid and great-grandchildren Case, Lauren and Riley. Predeceased by his sister Trijn Evertse and his brothers Maas and Teus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Williamsburg Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, September 5th at 11 a.m. Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Winchester Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
