Peacefully at the Dundas Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, October 6, 2018, Pearl Burd (nee Walker), formerly of Niagara Falls, in her 104th year. Beloved wife of the late Carl “J.C.” Burd. Pearl will be sadly missed by her faithful caregivers Jenny, Steve, Brentley and Alicia Summers. Pearl will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Barbara Summers, Marilyn Wilson (Garry), Sharon Summers, Gloria Marshall, Wayne Summers (Myra), Garnet Summers (Carroll), Cynthia Summers, Marie Sears (Carl), Gordon Walker, Mary Jo Walker (Peter Morrison), Maureen Schuler (Rick) and John Walker (Karen Hehn). She was predeceased by her parents Jesse and Elizabeth Walker, her sister Helen Summers, her nephew Gary Summers and her brothers Ralph and Charlie Walker.
Funeral Arrangements
At Pearl’s request there will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. Inurnment of cremated remains will be in Niagara Falls. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
