Drug bust in North Dundas

NORTH DUNDAS – Police officers with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment of the OPP, along with the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, and the OPP Tactical Rescue Unit executed a search warrant on a property on County Road 7 north of Elma May 29th.

Officers seized a quantity of marijuana, marijuana plants, clone plants, Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth), Methamphetamine pills, GHB, Speed pills, Cocaine and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

Police also seized multiple stolen fire arms, including a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, and a Yamaha all-terrain vehicle.

No value was placed on the items seized.

Arrested at the scene was 29 year old Brandon Elliott. He was charged with: six counts of possession of controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking; produce a control substance; nine counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; four counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon; one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm; possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm; seven counts of careless storage of a firearm; and two counts of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.

Elliott was held in custody pending a court appearance in Cornwall.
