MORRISBURG – Council will forgo the tendering process to move ahead with repairs to the Morrisburg boat launch.
There is $82,000 in the 2018 budget for this project.
Because Kehoe Marine Construction has done work for the Municipality in the past, Ben Macpherson, director of recreation and facilities for the municipality contacted them and one other company for an estimate.
Kehoe’s price was substantially lower than the other estimate.
“Our procurement policy allows us to go this route,” said South Dundas mayor Evonne Delegarde.
Council approved the project which will not likely be completed until fall.
