Armed take down of domestic suspect at Morrisburg McDonald’s

MORRISBURG – November 1st around 1:30 p.m. SDG OPP officers assisted Cornwall Police in locating a male who was wanted in that city in connection with a domestic incident.

Police received a report that the man was observed at the McDonald’s in Morrisburg and that he may be in possession of a firearm.

OPP arrived on the scene and entered the building with C8 rifles drawn. The individual was arrested without incident and taken to Cornwall.

Constable Tylor Copeland told The Leader that the rifles were drawn “due to information about a firearm.” Copeland added that the report of the individual being armed was proven to be false.

The identity of the person arrested was not released by police.
