Gilmour drafted in CCHL bantam draft

OTTAWA – The Brockville Braves selected Curran Gilmour, 89th overall in the 2017 CCHL Bantam Protect Draft April 10th in Navan. The 5’9” defenseman played with the Rideau-St. Lawrence Kings Major Bantam AA team in the 2016-17 season.

“I am happy to be drafted”, Gilmour told The Leader. “A.J. Jarvis played there and its a great opportunity for me.” Gilmour, a resident of Iroquois, is a Grade 9 student at Seaway District High School.

The CCHL is a Junior-A hockey league based in Eastern Ontario.
