Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Gerrit Van’t Foort of Chesterville went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was in his 99th year. Beloved husband of Maatje (nee Jansen) for 73 years. Father of Wilma Mudde (Martin) of Ottawa, Betty Seminowicz (Al) of Durham, Tena Van’t Foort (Bryan Barbour) of Owen Sound, Tim Van’t Foort (Birgit) of Iroquois, Marg Joldersma (Ginus) of Brinston and Harry Van’t Foort (Iena) of Spencerville. Father-in-law of Dan Hubert of Smiths Falls. Opa will be fondly remembered by 17 grandchildren 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. Predeceased by his daughter Linda Hubert, his infant son Tijmen, his brother Bertus, his daughter-in-law Joanne Van’t Foort and his grandson Scott Van’t Foort. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Williamsburg Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, February 4th at 11 a.m. Special thanks to members of Jubilee Canadian Reformed Church for all their visits and support.
