Unwilling hosts among IESO approved projects

The Independent Electricity Operator announced that it has completed its evaluation of the 103 proposals received in response to the LRP I RFP and announced March 10th that it has offered 16 LRP I contracts to successful proponents.

Although the South Branch II wind farm 75 megawatt proposal for 24-36 wind turbines on privately owned properties within South Dundas was submitted to the IESO, it was not among the 16 contracts offered.

The 16 contracts offered represent 454.885 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity. This capacity contributes to the achievement of the province’s renewable energy targets.
