Rental option pursued for Dundela skaters

What the community group pursing EDP Renwables’ South Branch community funds for a rink building at McIntosh Park in Dundela asked for was a new rink building to replace the one demolished this summer.

But, what they will likely get, for this year at least, is a rented ATCO office trailer.

When the community group applied to the South Branch Community Fund they estimated the construction of a new building at approximately $120,000.

South Dundas municipal staff suggested the permanent installation of an ATCO trailer as a more cost effective means to meet the needs of users of the Dundela outdoor rink. Council's final decision on the matter is expected October 6th.
