Vicki Boivin collects 10th consecutive golf championship

Vicki Boivin held off a strong bid from Lori Anne Davies, here Saturday to claim her 10th consecutive Ladies Club Championship at the Morrisburg Golf Club.

Boivin and Davies played to a tie in the opening round on Friday, both carding 87s to set the stage for Saturday’s showdown.

Also in contention for the championship title was Monique Patenaude. After the opening round on Friday, Patenaude trailed the leaders by six strokes with a 93.  She came back to lead Saturday’s field with a 91, but it was not enough to catch the leaders.

The win marked Boivin’s 10th consecutive ladies club championship at the Morrisburg Golf Club and her 12th in total. She won the 2014 championship, also with a 36 hole total of 179 (93-86).
