Although they have yet to produce test batches of Biemond organic yogurt, the Upper Canada Creamery is planning its grand opening for August 15, 2015.
Located along Waddell Road in rural South Dundas, Upper Canada Creamery is a new venture for a small family owned, on-farm business.
“Our farm has been organic for 25 years,” says Upper Canada Creamery spokesperson Jennifer Biemond, in a media release.
“Our focus is to provide a sustainable and healthy lifestyle for future generations and to produce a product that integrates our perspective with the healthy living movement in our communities. We strive to provide an on-site transparent approach to the local public, closing the gap from the farm to the fridge.”
For Upper Canada Creamery, yogurt-making starts from the soil.
“We strive to build the natural sugar levels in our plants to produce high quality feed for the animals. Which results in a high butterfat organic milk,” says Biemond.
“This milk is transferred to the Creamery to produce our own top quality, all natural plain organic yogurt to bring to your family.”
Upper Canada Creamery has a viewing hall to allow the public to watch how the product is made, and to ask questions.
“This gives us the opportunity to provide our clients with a transparent view of the entire process,” says Biemond.
