ied peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 17, 2013. She was 84.  

Ruby was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Snyder.  She was loving mother of Judy Saddlemire of Williamsburg, Gord (Yvonne) of Morrisburg, Lorne at home and Debbie (Greg) Bowen of Brockville.   She was dear sister of Harry (Audrey) Barclay of R.R.# 1 Brinston, and Theresa (Dennis) Brett of Scarborough.  

Ruby will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Scott, Mark, Cody, Matthew, Tyler and Chaucey and great-grandchildren Bryson, Hunter and Gavin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Ruby was predeceased by her son Gary, her son-in-law Art Saddlemire, her sisters Ada Barclay and Edna Baker and her brothers John, Charles and Clarke Barclay.      

A private family graveside funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Morrisburg, on Tuesday, August 20th, at 1 p.m. with Father Chisholm officiating.  

Pallbearers were grandchildren Mark Saddlemire, Cody Francis, Matt Snyder, Tyler Snider and Chaucey Bowen.  

Arrangements were entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg.  Donations to the J.W. MacIntosh Senior Support Centre would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.

Beatrice “Bea” Lorraine Shaver of Morrisburg, passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. She was in her 98th year.

Bea was loving mother of Donald (Bonnie) Shaver of Kemptville and Marilyn (Percy) Salmon of Morrisburg.  

She was cherished grandmother of Barbara (Dave) Delaney, Alan Shaver, Robert (Michelle) Shaver, Trevor (Shannon) Shaver, Matthew (Erin) Shaver, Christopher Salmon (deceased) and Nicole Salmon. She was beloved great-grandmother of Adam, Mark (Rosanna), Tracy, Melissa (Dan Hutter), Cole, Cyle, Noah, Taylor, Madison, Mason, MacKenna, Ainsley, Bailey and Bria, and beloved great-great-grandmother of Xavier, Elijah, Mattias and Isabella.

Private visitation was held at the Parker Funeral Home, 28 Sir James Morris Drive, Morrisburg.  Interment followed at South Gower Cemetery.  

A memorial service to celebrate Bea’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrisburg, on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 11 a.m.

Arlie English

Arlie English of RR2 Iroquois, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. He was 87 years old. 

Arlie was the beloved father of David (Lynda) Hodgson of Waterloo and Joanne (Mac) Neilson of Joyceville.

He was cherished family friend of Brian (Morgan) Swerdfeger and their children of Long Sault, treasured grandpa of Ryan (Tasha) Hodgson and Pop to Stacy Lynn Neilson, Jennifer (Kevin) Lapeer and Emily Neilson. 

Arlie was Great Poppa to James Lapeer and great grandpa to Hailey and Cody.  He was dear brother of Iris Bryant of Hensall. 

Arlie will be sadly missed by his nephew and devoted friend Kevin Carkner.  He was predeceased by his parents Lulu (Glover) and Elmer English and one brother Orean English.  

Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends.

At Arlie’s request there was no visitation or funeral service.  

Donations to Knox Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.  

Arrangements were entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Iroquois.
