Dwayne Robert Casselman died suddenly at his home in Blackie, Alberta, on Thursday, October 27, 2011. He was 70 years old.

Dwayne leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Myrna, his daughters Linda and Laura and his step-daughters Shawn and Kelly. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered by his sisters and brothers: Betty (Fred) Hutt, Anne Thompson, Shirley (Jack) Nelson, Barbara Benson (Bill Barnett), Charlotte (David) Froats, Gordon (Shirley), Marian, Karl (Brenda), Susan (Mac) Lewis, Janet, Janice Bradford, Sandra, Cathy, Darlene (Martin) Vanderbruggen and Donna (Karl) Billings. He is survived by his sister-in-law Tilda (Arnold) and by many nieces and nephews.

Dwayne was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Margaret Casselman; by brothers, Delbert Arnold, and Allen; by brothers-in-law John Thompson and Ron Bradford.

A Celebration of Dwayne’s life was held at High River, Alberta. The Honour Guard was the Sam Steele’s Scouts Association.

Donations to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Association at 200, 119 14th Street NW Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6 or the Heart and Stroke of Ontario Branch in memory of Dwayne Robert Casselman will be gratefully acknowledged.

Nona Janvier

Nona Janvier (nee Hunter) of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was 59.  

Nona was the loving wife of Gilles Courchaine, and loving mother of Jordan Janvier of Edmonton and Kalisha Janvier of Ottawa.

She was dear sister of Rhonda Lepage (Robert) of Cornwall, Donna Seguin (Fern) of Eston, Saskatchewan, Gerry Hunter (Elizabeth) of Okatoks, Alberta, Wally Hunter (Evelyn) of Morrisburg, Brenda Grant of Morrisburg, Dennis Hunter (Judy) of Morrisburg and Cecil Hunter (Judy) of Ingleside.  

Nona will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Laila, Naomi and Anika.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.  

Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Monday, March 30th from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. 

The service was conducted by Brian Barr.  Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Morrisburg.  

Pallbearers were Wally Hunter, Dennis Hunter, Cecil Hunter, Oak Hunter, Given Hunter and Lane Hunter.

Mary ‘Maxine’ Feeley

A lifetime resident of the Chesterville area, Maxine Feeley passed away at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.  She was in her 80th year. 

Maxine was born in Dunbar, on July 11, 1932, the second youngest of 15 children to her parents Edsel and Bessie Merkley (nee Wallace).       

Maxine is survived by her husband of 60 years Henry; by her children Barry (Patsy) of Chesterville, Cathy (Ronnie) Carbino of Finch, Tom (Mary) of Ottawa and Lori (Graham) Ball of Chesterville; and by her siblings Audrey Casselman of Williamsburg, Lois (Jack) McCaughey of Cornwall, Lorna Bolster of Brushton, New York and Joan Beckstead of Chesterville.  

Maxine will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Michelle (Mark), Mallory (Trevor), Michael, Lindsay, Alyssa, Warren and Lauren and by one great-grandson Colby Morozuk.  

She was predeceased by sisters Vera Smith, Dorothy Price, Emma Hess and brothers Walter, Irwin, Lee, Carl, Clifton, Audeen and Lyle Merkley.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews.  

Friends called at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home, Chesterville, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3rd at 11 a.m., with Rev. Lois Gaudet officiating.  

Interment followed at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville.

Pallbearers were grandchildren Michelle Doll, Mallory Morozuk, Michael Carbino, Lindsay Feeley, Alyssa  Ball, Warren Ball and Lauren Feeley.
