It is with great sadness we regret to notify you that William (Bill) Dillabough passed away on April 9th, 2014. 

Bill was born in Ottawa, on March 16th, 1930, to William and Maude Dillabough (nee Hayes). He lived the majority of his life in Morrisburg with his loving family.

Bill leaves behind many loved ones including his beautiful and loving wife Phyllis Dillabough (nee Lawlor), a brother Ron Dillabough (Monique) and his four amazing children: Bill Dillabough (Michelle), Gordie Dillabough, Penny MacKean (Allan) and Wendy Stewart (Paul). 

For those of you who knew Bill you will know that family was his number one priority, and it was what brought him true happiness. 

Amongst leaving behind a wife, a brother and four children he also leaves many loving memories in his grandchildren: Billy Dillabough (Jennifer), Amanda Woolsey (Kodey), Sheena Crowder, Christopher Osler, Travis Dillabough, Brittany Dillabough and Brooke Cooper (Greg).  

He was predeceased by his parents William and Maude Dillabough, and by three sisters and seven brothers.

Bill lived an interesting and exciting life over the last 66 years with his beloved wife, Phyllis.

As many know of Bill’s political career, he was a member of council for four years and 16 years as Reeve of Morrisburg and the Warden of the United Counties.

Bill also served on the boards as president of the ODHA and on the board of the CAHA.  

He also, ran a successful family business for 65 years with the assistance and support of his devoted wife. 

Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1961, as well as a member of Morrisburg Legion Branch 48. He was also a member of Lakeshore Drive United Church.  

Bill and “his bride” had a passion for travel. They travelled to Russia and Austria for the World Hockey Tournaments and enjoyed vacationing in the Caribbean.  Always together, they enjoyed being with friends and family.  They always enjoyed their company.  Whether it was for dinner, vacations, functions or events, Bill loved seeing, talking and spending time with people. 

Family meant everything to Bill. He always said that family came first and always showed how much he loved us all.

He told his family regularly how much he loved them and how much they meant to him. 

Bill Dillabough was a remarkable friend, a loving and devoted husband, an extraordinary father, and an incredible grandfather.  

Besides his family, Bill had one other love in his life…hockey, or more specifically the Detroit Red Wings. He was the most dedicated fan of 75 years, and his family will be cheering on the Red Wings during the 2014 playoff season. 

Bill was a handsome, caring, funny, smart, affectionate and generous man throughout his life.  He will be greatly missed., and he will be forever loved.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.  Spring interment of cremated remains will be at Fairview Cemetery in Mariatown. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

A lifetime resident of the Williamsburg area, Doris Casselman passed away suddenly at the Woodland Villa Nursing Home in Long Sault on Friday, December 30, 2011.  She was 90. 

Doris was born in Williamsburg Township on June 7, 1921 to her parents John and Sarah Whitteker (nee Casselman).  

On October 2, 1941 she married Hubert Casselman and together they had 3 children Ron, Dennis and Jo-Anne.  Doris remained at the family farm west of Williamsburg, while Hubert was away training for the Air Force. In 1942 their first child Ron was born. Two years later in 1944 their second son Dennis was born. The family then was stationed in Exetoer Ont., when their third child Jo-Anne was born in 1948. From Exeter the family was then stationed in Claresholm, Alberta. The family returned home to Williamsburg in 1952 and resided with Doris's mother Sadie for a short time. They then rented for a while before building a new home on Pinkus Drive in 1960 where Doris resided until health problems forced her to leave her home in 2009. 

  Doris worked on the family farm as a child. After returning home from Alberta she then worked at English's Clothing Store, Fairbairn Furniture Store in Williamsburg and as a clerk at the Department of National Defence in Ottawa.  Her final place of employment was at Upper Canada Village. 

 Upon retirement Doris and Hubert did some travelling with a group of close friends. 

 Doris was a very special person who meant so many things to many people. She enjoyed baking, gardening and bird watching. She was a great mentor and advisor. She was patient and kind and always put others before her. She always leant a helping hand. She left a special mark on everyone and was known to all as "Nan." She let everyone know how important they all were to her. 

 Doris is survived by her children Ron Casselman (Linda) of Williamsburg, Dennis Casselman (Kathy) of Williamsburg and Jo-Anne Whitteker of Cardinal., her siblings Edna Schell of Williamsburg, Ivan Whitteker (Shirley Moke) of Williamsburg, Rex Whitteker (Mary Ruth) of Morrisburg and Glenn Whitteker (Lois) of Perth.  Nan will be fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Hubert, her brother Ward Whitteker and her sisters Velda Steinburg and Flora Whitteker.   She is also survived by nieces and nephews.   

A private family Funeral Service was held at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg on Monday, January 2, 2012, with Rev. Noreen Gullons officiating.  Cremation followed. Pallbearers were grandchildren Todd Casselman, Traci Bailey, Mark Cassselman, David Casselman, Paul Casselman, Angie Merkley and Derek Whitteker.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Interment of cremated remais will be at New Union Cemetery , Williamsburg .  Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.

A resident of the Brinston area for the past 60 years, Marie Bosman passed at the London Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.  She was 98.  

Marie was born in Elst, The Netherlands, on December 3, 1916, to her parents Hendrik  and Maria Vink.  She was the oldest of 11 children, and she worked hard on the family farm.  She got her papers for milking cows and worked for various farmers in the area of Elst.

 Marie met her future husband Johan Bosman at her sister’s place. Johan told her he was going to Canada, and he would send for her which he did in 1950.  Marie immigrated to Canada in November 1950, and they were married in Renfrew just two weeks after her arrival.  Following their marriage, Johan and Marie were blessed with three children, Rita, John and Henry.   

With their family complete they worked hard on their farm west of Brinston. Their home welcomed many visitors and Sunday morning church attendance was mandatory. Marie was a faithful Christian lady, and she shared this faith with all of her family and friends.   

Marie did not like it when men helped in the kitchen. She believed kitchen duties were to be completed only by ladies.

Over the years, she helped to clean the Timothy Christian School and the Church. She actively supported all church related functions by either volunteering at the event or by making food. Her specialty was making raisin bread for the Timothy Christian School Bazaar   

Marie and Johan visited Holland on several occasions to visit with their family and friends there and celebrate special birthdays and anniversaries. They always had a huge garden, and they were happy to share their produce with their neighbours.   

Marie is survived by her children Rita Jeninga (Harry) of London, John (Debbie) of Ingleside and Henry (Susan) of Brouseville and by her siblings Grada, Metjie, Corrie, Diny, all of Holland and Agnes VanDodewaard of Iroquois.

Maria will be fondly remembered by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband Johan in 2002, her parents Hendrikus and Maria Vink, her sisters Jo and Elly, her brothers Wim, Broer and Gerrit, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and a great-nephew.  

She was a loving Tante to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and she is survived by many cousins.  

Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service was held at the Williamsburg Christian Reformed Church on Tuesday, March 3rd at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Noordhof officiating.   

Pallbearers were John Bosman, Henry Bosman, Harry Jeninga, Rodney Jeninga, John Bosman Jr. and Noel Hayes.        

Spring interment will be at New Union Cemetery, Williamsburg.   

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Timothy Christian School would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
