Patenaude gets victory in Ladies Open playoff

Two Morrisburg golfers battled through two playoff holes to settle this years Morrisburg Ladies Open  on Wednesday August 12. Monique Patenaude beat defending champion Vicki Boivin on the 2nd playoff hole. Both ladies shot 89’s in regulation play.

A field of 81 golfers competed in four classes in this years tournament for a very nice prize table provided by tournament sponsors and the Morrisburg Golf Club.

Following Patenaude’s low gross win was Canadce Burns, from Champions Nest with low net of the day shooting  a tidy 67 net.

Vicki Boivin claimed low gross in A flight with an 89, followed by another Morrisburg golfer Anita Cooper who took B flight low gross shooting 97. Cedar Glens Greta McGann won the C flight low gross with a 106.

Low net winners were  Berniece Whitteker in A flight, Barb Badali, B flight and Helen Zeran, C flight.

Prizes were given out down to 3rd place in A flight, 5th place in B flight and 4th place in C flight.

 Closest to the pins were won by: #2 Betty Watt, #5 Berniece Whitteker, #8 Lise Steinburg, #11 Joan Organ, #14 Lorie Pitt, #17 Linda Barclay, the putting contest was won by Laurie Dillabough.
