Silent again – As part of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission’s refresh of the Battle of Crysler’s Farm Memorial, the pair of 1806 24-pound cannons will remain silent again. Restored to operation in 2018, the cannons were fired during each November 11 ceremony up until 2024, excluding 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
