Ross Video donates $10K to Community Food Share

SOUTH DUNDAS – One of the largest employers in South Dundas has given a large gift to Community Food Share this holiday season.

Iroquois-based Ross Video notified CFS that the company was making a $10,000 donation to the food bank today (December 17th).

“In light of the current situation with COVID-19, the Ross Video social committee has been unable to facilitate any fundraising for our local food bank,” said Ross Video spokesperson Monika St. Louis. “As a result, Ross Video is making a donation to assist with families in need over the holiday season.”

St. Louis said that the donation is in addition to the company’s annual corporate donation to CFS.

“Happy holidays on behalf of Ross Video,” said St. Louis.

“This is fantastic,” Jane Schoones, Team Leader for CFS told The Leader. “This donation came out of the blue.”

She said that in past years Ross Video and its employees have always been extremely generous in supporting CFS.

“Ross Video and the employees there are just fantastic,” Schoones said. “Thank you so much.”

She said that the donation will help the organization prepare for the unknown of the winter months and that so far, food supplies and donations have been steady, even in the pandemic.
