Schools closed for second day of storm

MORRISBURG – Schools across Eastern Ontario are closed for the second day in a row due to a winter storm that has blanketed the area.

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario has cancelled all buses for Wednesday, February 13th, as has the transportation consortium for the French-Public and French-Catholic boards. Schools for all four school boards are closed for the day. All after-school programs and events are also cancelled.

The Upper Canada District School Board has postponed its trustee board meeting scheduled for the evening.

The Municipality of South Dundas has cancelled all recreation classes for February 13th.

Environment Canada forecasts that the storm will taper off  by Wednesday afternoon. The agency estimates that 25-35 centimetres of snow will have fallen by the end of the snow.
