At home on Saturday, February 3, 2018, Sidney Irwin of Morrisburg, in his 97th year. Loving husband of Elizabeth Irwin (nee Meleghy) and the late Isabel Irwin (nee Tubman). Loving father of Philip Irwin of Ottawa, David Irwin (Carol) of Lyndhurst and Kathleen Chalmers (Bob) of St. Thomas. Dear brother of Peggy Hogarth of Toronto, Pat Irwin (Robin) of Ladysmith, B.C. and Helen Hall of Arnprior. Sidney will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Michael Irwin (Erica), Richard Irwin (Jenn), Katie Charette (Keith), Philip Chalmers (Ashton), Noel Chalmers (Andrea), Patti Chalmers, Chris Chalmers (Vicki), Samantha Lennox (Jason) and Josh Stott (Anik). Dear stepfather of Alexandra Porter of London, England and Stephanie Porter (Ken Laird) of Toronto. Predeceased by his sisters Amy Hollister and Connie Ayers and his stepson Hugh Porter. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Williamsburg, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 20 High Street in Morrisburg, on Friday, February 9th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Anglican Parish of South Dundas or the charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
