Ottawa Ride for Dad making Iroquois stop

June 4th, about 2,000 motorcycles are expected to travel through South Dundas as part of the Ottawa Ride for Dad.

This year the popular city ride which raises funds to fight men’s cancers, has changed its ride route, and the Eastern Ontario Prostate Cancer Awareness Committee, was quick to suggest that the ride should come to this area.

“It’s a beautiful ride, I’m sure the participants will love it,” said Doug Nugent of the local committee.

The June 4th poker run starts at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum and will head south making a poker run stop in Russell and then head to the Iroquois Locks where Poker Stop #4 will be.

Nugent wanted to make the community aware of this local stop.

According to the route map, motorcyclists will be arriving in South Dundas via County Road 31 to Morrisburg and then travelling to Iroquois via County Road 2.
