Peewee B Rep Demons break it open in the second for winr

 

The North Dundas Peewee B Rep Demons broke open a 2-2 game in the second period  of an UCMHL East Division game here Wednesday night, November 18, to begin the work that would see them pick up an 8-3 victory over the visiting South Stormont Selects.

Jaymen Heuff finished off a two on one (from Ben Lapier and Adam Barkley) and Cole Eikelboom (from Owen Fetterly and Lapier) knocked in a rebound off an Owen Fetterly point shot on the Demons power play to account for the Demons two first period goals.

The Selects held them to the 2-2 tie first period tie with goals from Martel and Sinfield.

It was early in the second period, when Ben Lapier won a battle along the boards in the neutral zone and skated into the zone to find a wide open Eikelboom (from Lapier and Maxime Paquette) to give the Demons a one goal edge. 

With 47 second left in the period, Mason Carr (struck with a shot from the slot on a pass from Joshua Broad) to make it 4-2.

Owen Fetterly stretched the Demons lead to 5-2 early in the third (from Carr, Broad) and Heuff (from Carr and Eikelboom) made it 6-2 with 8:11 left on the clock.

At this point, the Selects cut in for an unassisted goal from Poitras with five minutes left.

Maxime Paquette collected the Demons seventh goal with Keiran McQueen-Ladouceur assisting, and Mason Carr scored unassisted in the last minute of the game for the 8-3 Demons win.

Jordan Papineau was in net to register the Demons win, which allowed the Demons to remain in second place in the East Division standings with 14 points on seven wins and two losses. 

Next action for the North Dundas Peewee B Rep Demons is tonight, Wednesday, November 25 in Winchester when they host Perth.
