Renegade Bass, the leader in live release fishing tournaments, will cap off its 20th season with the Classic XX out of Morrisburg on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13.
At this event, there will be 80 professional anglers who will be battling to win the grand prize.
The successful angler will take home a $60,000 Ranger Z119 boat, powered by a 225hp Evinrude G-2Etec engine, complete with a Motorguide Tour Edition trolling motor and Lowrance HDS electronics.
“The St. Lawrence is a popular body of water for Renegade anglers as it’s challenging and the big fish are definitely here,” said Renegade Bass founding member, Paul Shibata. “We are excited to be holding our 20th annual classic out of Morrisburg.
The community has always been great to us and it will benefit from the tournament’s economic impact of approximately $75,000.”
The Renegade Bass Classic XX tournament blast off is at 7 a.m. both mornings out of the Morrisburg town launch.
The day one weigh-in is at 4 p.m., the day two weigh-in is at 3 p.m.
Two time Canadian Angler Hall of Fame inductee and TV personality, Big Jim McLaughlin, will be on hand both days. He’ll answer fishing questions on Saturday from 3-4 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to get advice from a seasoned fishing veteran.
The South Dundas Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to come down to the Morrisburg dock at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday to see this spectacular blast off.
There will be lots of prizes for the kids. Refreshments and pizza will be available both days.
