Erika Jordan heading to OFSAA

Erika Jordan is heading to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Cross-Country provincial championships.

Jordan finished seventh in in the midget girls division at the EOSSAA championships in Kemptville October 28th.

The EOSSAA championships are the qualifier for the provincial championships. She finished the 3.1 kilometre course at the Ferguson Forest Centre in 11 minutes, 25 seconds. Four of the runners ahead of Jordan qualified as part of larger teams, which moved Jordan to 3rd overall in the individual category.

The top five teams and the top five individual runners move on to provincials.

The OFSAA Cross-Country championships will be held on November 5th at Trinity College School in Port Hope.

Seaway fielded a team of five at the EOSSAA championships. Reagan Belanger finished 55th  in the 3.1 kilometre midget girls division with a time of 14 minutes, 6 seconds. Keira Cameron finished 41st in the 4.1 kilometre junior girls division with a time of 18 minutes, 46 seconds.

The 5.4 kilometre midget boys race saw Theo Blancher place 106th with a time of 27 minutes 11 seconds. Hunter Murphy placed 103rd in the senior boys 6.9 kilometre race with at time of 29 minutes, 42 seconds.
