South Dundas man arrested in North Dundas bust

WINCHESTER – Officers from the SDG OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Beach Street in Winchester December 6th. The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, weapons (baton, hatchet, knife, pellet guns) and a quantity of Canadian currency.

Three were arrested and charged at the scene.

Christopher McRoberts, 40, of North Dundas, was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of illicit cannabis. McRoberts was also charged with two counts each of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

Randy Froats, 23, of South Dundas, was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and possession of break-in instruments. He was also faces two counts of failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

Courtney Robinson, 30, of Prescott, was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of illicit cannabis.

McRoberts and Froats were held in custody (bail) and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. Robinson was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court January 8, 2019.
