Save Our Schools Rally November 4th

“We want to save our schools, that’s why we’re organizing a huge rally,” said Morning Mullin, parent, long time community member and local resident.

The rally will take place November 4th, 5:30 p.m. in the middle of the soccer field at Seaway District High School in Iroquois. (In the event of rain, it will be moved to the school gymnasium.)

“We want to bring the whole community out to support this, parents, elders, children, business people. This affects everyone,” says Mullin. “We need your help.”

“This is your chance to have your voice heard. All thoughts matter.”

Mullin is one of many people who are together organizing events and initiatives with the common goal of saving our schools.

Mullin says guest speakers are being lined up for the event, and that there will be an opportunity for everyone, students and more, to tell people how these school closures will affect them.

She encourages those attending to make a sign, bring a sign, wear their school colours, do whatever they can to support the schools.

“This shouldn’t just be about the numbers – these are our children.”
