Lloya and Dwayne Sprague owners of Morrisburg Home Hardware,  and Dennis and Erin Merkley, welcomed family, friends, business associates and dignitaries to the official opening of their new Home Hardware Commercial Line store on Wednesday, August  19, 2015.

Also joining the celebration  from St. Jacobs were Jason Hamburger, commercial Main-tenance Division of Home Hardware and Alex Goyette, commercial Sales Marketing co-ordinator of Home Hardware.

Terry Davis, CEO Home Hardware Stores Limited said “On behalf of the Dealer-Owners of close to 1,100 Home Hardware stores in communities across Canada, I would like to congratulate the Sprague family and their staff on the new location and wish them well at this exciting time.”

Lloya and Dwaye Sprague are partnering with Dennis Merkely, owner of Seaway Embroidery, to provide the extended Commercial storefront. The building is adjacent to the existing Home Hardware store and offers commercial and industrial product selections.

Lloya Sprague said “This facility is excellent. The long layout incorporates all the space that Dennis needs to display his great products. We are excited to offer local, Canadian products to our community. We invite people to drop by the new store and experience the expanded product selection.”

Balloons, fresh cookies, a barbecue and a very helpful staff greeted shoppers who came to the Wednesday grand opening.

“We are very excited about the support we have received from this community,” said Erin Merkley. “We are looking forward to future business. Today has really been a great day.”
